PSP8 Red Eye Removal Tutorial
Red Eye Cowboy Before Correction

Cowboy Photo After Correction

Psp8 has a great red eye removal tool and it is well worth getting to know it if you correct photos. Snag the photo on the left (right click and save to your hard drive). Open it in Psp8.

1) Click Enhance Photo > Red Eye Removal. Set the options as they are in the screen shot or change them if you feel comfortable.

Click for Screen Shot

2) Center the crosshair in the pupil of the first eye. Click and drag out a small circle. Don't make it too big. The size of the pupil is all you need and use the circle as the guide. You can move the circle around and resize it until you get it just right. Keep on the preview so you can see your work as you do it. If you don't the like the current eye size, etc. click 'Delete Eye' button and start again with crosshair. Once you have one eye correct, click the crosshair on the other eye and repeat. A little bit of correction goes a long way so don't overdo it.

3) When both eyes have the color and glint you want, click ok.

Tip: I correct my son's eyes quite a bit and they are blue so I have saved a preset that usually works for his photos.
